How Does The ETA Visa Work ?

Simply put, an ETA Visa allows people to travel to Australia without a physical Stamp in their passports.

This is done by utilizing the power of computers and the internet.

You must be a valid passport holder from one of the following countries to apply for an Australian ETA Visa.

You cannot have a criminal record or a medical / health problem.

Your details are entered into the Australian Governments database and then you are either approved or not.

If your application is rejected, you must physically go to your nearest Australian Embassy to apply in person.

NOTE:

Holders of UK British National (Overseas) (GBN) passports are not eligible to apply for ETAs through this site.

Taiwan passport holders must go to an Australian Embassy in Taiwan to apply.
